The experience begins before you reach the door, as you walk through the haunted grounds of St. Ann’s Academy beneath a waning gibbous moon, and climb the stone steps to the old chapel.

After more than 12 years and some 200 solo performances, Jason returns to the atmospheric Chapel at St. Ann’s Academy with his rarely performed telling of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.

Built in 1858, just seven years after Mary Shelley’s death, the former convent chapel provides an extraordinary setting for this story of a brilliant young man, the life he creates — and the creature he abandons.

There may be no better way to summon the spirit of Hallowe’en: an hour with Victor Frankenstein and his Monster, a historic chapel, and a story that still has the power to make us tremble — and break our hearts.

Running time: Just over one hour, with no interval.
Recommended for ages 10 and up.

St. Ann’s Academy is a short walk from downtown Victoria and is fully accessible.
